We have been hosting travelers from around the world for over 15 years. Initially we started offering low budget home stay accommodation in our semi-detached home Studio to help with the household income but after a few years we were having more requests than we could handle and so we built a free standing Cottage in our front garden in 2014 to accommodate more guests.

​​I'm LauraLin, I live in the main house, The Villa, with my second sun Teij. We are now happy to have you stay at our cozy Cottage in the front garden. Opposite the cottage is the original studio, a smaller space which we still offer for rent. Over the years we have had many repeat guests and endless rave reviews.

We also have 4 dogs who are guest friendly. There are a few chickens and two tortoises. A variety of birds fly in and out to sip from the bird feeders or flowers
 

One of us will greet you and brief you on arrival and tell you about the whereabouts, what there is to know, where to go, what to do or don't to make your stay comfortable, enjoyable and safe. Sometimes we are more interactive or just let you be, guided by guest's preference but we are always available to help or answer any more qs.  Sometimes we can take you on a tour or otherwise point you in the best direction. 

 

Teij is a surfer, an avid football fan and is a Cook and has a small catering business. He can prepare meals to order with 24 hour advance notice. His food is definitely delicious, a fusion of Caribbean and International flavours. Occasionally we may have a dinner under the stars at the communal picnic table with all the guests.

 

My other son Renga lives in Ottawa and I have two delightful grandchildren there.
If you like to meditate, philosophize, share stories, have a chat, a cup of tea, coffee or glass of wine I am happy to chat with you. I luv the sun, the sea and island life. I am a writer and am also a Holistic Massage Therapist and offer to guests Reiki and Chakra Balancing treatments using Crystals and Sound. Welcome to Shambhala Homestays ....your home at our home!
